Jacob Ruefer - Peacebone(Animal Collective Cover)

This is my second week into my project/idea of playing a new cover song every Monday. I personally love a good cover song. Today’s is by artist Jacob Ruefer of Illinois, and at first I was like wow, I really like the original by AC, and this is definitely different in style, but it’s grown on me over the year.

Ruefer covers a lot of other great songs from artists like LCD Soundsystem, the xx, Yorke, and Broken Social Scene, too, so check out his blog, and/or Myspace page and give him a listen.

This is another track from the  new side project from Jamie XX of The XX fame featuring poet/songwriter/legend Gil Scott-Heron.

Very smooth, chill song. It’s classic, dirty blues meeting present electro goodness. Very nice.

Rolling in the Deep(remixed) is definitely not a bad song to wake up to, and yes, i am just waking up. Lazy day, but it is snowing!
