Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!
If you haven’t heard this song, or heard about the album from which it came, you should check it out. The song is a part of a collaboration album, featuring acts like Eddie Vedder, Beck , Bono, David Bowie, Faith Hill, Lauryn Hill, and a lot of other artists. The album is put out by Every Mother Counts, an organization dedicated to increasing education and support around the issue of maternal mortality.

Beastie Boys - Fight For Your Right
I think this was probably one of the first Beastie songs I ever heard, and although I can’t really say I listened religiously to every album, or knew all of their songs I can say that the Beastie Boys music was something I admired and almost always made me smile. That being said, life isn’t always roses, cash money sweet parties and late nights,….. sometimes you really do have to fight for your rights to party.
