This track couples up almost too perfectly with the last one I posted(new Passion Pit). Start of a new mix? Si, tal vez.
I think I gave this a listen because of the album title, Burning Flowers of India,….great title, but I am really glad I did. Chill, smooth and ethereal in the same vein as Explosions in the Sky or similar artists. Definitely a worthy listen.
This is crazy awesome seeing a new Passion Pit track this morning, because I was seriously just thinking about them, and why we hadn’t heard or seen anything new from them in a bit.
..And of course it’s great. A slightly more serious message behind the lyrics of this song, but it’s same amazing sound that made you like them in the first place.
The new album, Gossamer fittingly hits stores this summer(7/24).
I really like this. Maybe the best cover I posted today? Run Toto Run completely revamps this already amazing song, adds some crazy, unique instrumentation and beautiful vocals as well as a crazy little video to boot. Love it.
Check out some other great stuff from Run Toto Run HERE.
Thanks to Fixdarling for the heads up on this one.
So, I downloaded this a couple days ago, and have been listening to it off and on, and after realizing I really like it a lot, I went to their Myspace page and gave some of their other songs a listen, and they really have a nice sound, comparative to Animal Collective and or Passion Pit.
If you have heard Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People, then you already know this is a buzz worthy band. If you haven’t heard it, then listen to their latest effort below and then do a little band research. Both songs sound like they belong on MGMT’s Oracular Spectacular with slightly different sounding vocals. Not a bad thing at all.
That being said, i would almost guarantee that if you like mgmt, yeasayer, or passion pit, that you will really like this band.
This band is just wayyy too catchy and good. Can’t get this song outta my head, and that’s not even a bad thing.
