The Welcome Wagon - Would You Come and See Me In New York
The Welcome Wagon as a Gospel/indie pop band from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. The group consists of Presbyterian minister Vito Aiuto and his wife, Monique, and the record was produced by none other than Sufjan Stevens, and well, you can really hear his influence on the album, I think.
With twangy, steel guitar, beautiful instrumentation and soft, smooth vocals, Welcome Wagon is definitely worth a deeper look.

Free Energy - Electric fever
You may or may not remember these guys from last year( I think it was last year) when they kinda made a big splash in the indie pop world, with songs like Bang Pop & Dream City earning them “best new band” recommendations.
Whatever.
They’re back, and return with that same distortion heavy, bouncy pop that comes across like a nice, tall cup of the caffeine of your choice. Just what I need this morning. :p
The bands new album, Love Sign, is due out soon.

Owen Pallet - Lewis Takes Off His Shirt
Had this stuck in my head last night, and actually woke up this morning with it still stuck there. At least it’s not some god awful, catchy, elevator music b.s.

Peter Broderick - Everything I know
peter Broderick is a multi instrumentalist and composer that not only performs solo but plays with a lot of other really good musicians/bands ( She & Him, Horse and Feathers, Delorean and is also a member of the indie band Efterklang).
Anyways, I think you’ll like this song.
For fans of Andrew Bird, The Barr Brothers, The Head and the Heart, Efterklang.

Tanlines - All of Me
The second single from the new Tanlines album, Mixed Emotions (March 20th), is a light, breezey song that will fit great on many a summer playlist, or if you’re like me and you’re pretty much over winter and thinking well past spring, this really hits the spot. :)

Noosa - Fear of Love
I saw a comment on this and the song was tagged, “Indie on steroids-nu-disco- house - dream pop. Ha. That works.
That being said, I’m more than a little impressed by this song.
