The song is a part of a collaboration album, featuring acts like Eddie Vedder, Beck , Bono, David Bowie, Faith Hill, Lauryn Hill, and a lot of other artists. The album is put out by Every Mother Counts, an organization dedicated to increasing education and support around the issue of maternal mortality.

Cover Art for the New Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros Album, Here
Reportedly, the new album is due out May 29th, and the band will also be releasing a previously unheard song entitled, “Mother” for a charity compilation put out by Starbucks and model Christy Turlington. The compilation will also include artists such as Eddie Vedder, David Bowie, Paul Simon, Patti Smith, Beck and a bunch of other big names I don’t care too much about. Ha.
This has been floating around the net for a bit now, but is apparently from another solo Vedder album due out this summer(possibly titled Uke Songs). This isn’t fact, just what I’ve heard.
Rumored in fan circles for weeks, it’s now official: Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder’s new solo album, “Ukulele Songs,” will arrive on May 31 in tandem with a live solo DVD titled “Water On The Road.”
Featuring a number of songs that Vedder penned and first played live — but never released — nearly a decade ago, “Ukulele Songs” also includes a uke version of Pearl Jam’s 2002 track “Can’t Keep” and guest vocalists on two tracks: Glen Hansard on the Everly Brothers cover “Sleepless Nights” and Cat Power on “Tonight You Belong To Me.” The album’s lead single, “Longing To Belong,” a Vedder original, is available digitally today (March 21).

Eddie Vedder - Longing To Belong

Pearl Jam’s manager Kelly Curtis confirmed that PJ will be celebrating the bands 20th anniversary by holding their own music festival “somewhere in the middle of the country”.
With Eddie Vedder masterminding something like that, i bet it would be pretty sweet.
Note #2: If you’ve been living under a rock for your entire life eddie Vedder is the lead singer of a pretty sweet band called Pearl Jam.
