Supposedly, Scott Hutchison performed this acoustic cover of DCFC as a from of celebrating their tour together, thanking the fans, and as support for the Invisible Children ( an organization aimed at ending the conflict in Uganda and stopping the abduction of children for use as child soldiers.)
That being said, if you are a fan of either of these bands, you are really going to enjoy this.

Death Cab For Cutie - Portable Television
So the new album, Codes and Keys, by Death Cab is out now,…did it meet yourDCFC standards? were you disappointed? Love it? Hate it?
To me, it feels like a return to DCFC’s roots, to their older music. To me, it will never come close to Transatlanticism,..nothing will though. That doesn’t mean this isn’t a great album, or anything, because it is.
If you haven’t heard the whole thing, it’s worth the buy. I’m kinda digging them all with the exception of a couple. Portable Television is one of my favorites so far.

I heard a little bit of hate/trash talk about this before I watched it, and as I was watching it, I didn’t get it. I think it’s a decent video. I didn’t care for the lyrics posted all over the city, thought that was a little cheesey, but I’ve definitely seen worse videos.
I dunno, what do you think?

I’m on my fifth listen to this track this morning, and I’ll admit I don’t like it as much as the single You Are A Tourist, but the more I listen the more I realize the sound of this album is a lot more reminiscent of old school DCFC, and I like that. A lot.
