Reportedly, the new album is due out May 29th, and the band will also be releasing a previously unheard song entitled, “Mother” for a charity compilation put out by Starbucks and model Christy Turlington. The compilation will also include artists such as Eddie Vedder, David Bowie, Paul Simon, Patti Smith, Beck and a bunch of other big names I don’t care too much about. Ha.
Whew!
The Flaming Lips (Feat. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros) - Do You Realize?
This is one of those concert moments you see on video, and well, you would pretty much give your left(or right) nut to have been there.
Also, it’s performed in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. How cool and random is that?

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Up From Below (Live/Acoustic in Mexico)
This put a huge smile on my face. Would love to have been sitting there, chilling while all this was going on, in Mexico nonetheless.

The new album, from Alexander Ebert aka Edward Sharpe of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero’s, is out today.
It sounds like what a new E. Sharpe album would sound like, and that is a good thing. Alexander plays all the instruments and produces all the vocals on this album. Pretty amazing feat and a pretty damn good sound.
With that being said, I feel like I have just written the crappiest review ever. I have excuses though. Deal with it.
Alexander - A Million Years
Alexander Ebert is the real name of the lead singer of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros aka Edward Sharpe. He has a solo album titled, Alexander, due out March 1st and this is a track from the album.
In my opinion it sounds just like a song from a new E. Sharpe album which is great. However, on this album, Alexander played All of the instruments, sounds and vocals on this album, and listening to the various instrumentation that’s quite a feat.
You can read a pretty interesting Bio over at Vagrant Records as well as hear another song. I’m looking forward to hearing the whole thing, ass well as the E. Sharpe album/ep whenever that comes out.
